Rainbow benches arrive at Ninewells

“These benches will hopefully show a positive message of appreciation to all NHS staff, health and care workers.

The ‘Angels Wings’ are for all front line staff for their compassion and hard work.

The ‘Heart’ is dedicated to all the staff of the NHS for their support and dedication during the pandemic.

The ‘Rainbows’ will hopefully make staff and patients feel that there’s hope.”

Seat for the “Butterfly Girl”

The steel butterfly seat was commissioned by the Gordon School of Dancing, Rainbow Studios Montrose, in memory of Adana Forsyth, a very brave girl who suffered from epidermolysis bullosa. The seat is the centre piece of the “Butterfly park” in Montrose and is still in place today.

The seat, designed and installed in 2009, featured the rainbow design which has since become a symbol of thanks to NHS workers for their dedication during the Covid 19 pandemic.
